The most underrated resource for small businesses? 🤔

Hey Reader,

I’ll keep this quick.

Have you looked into grants that your business is eligible for? If not, I suggest adding it to your to-do list.

Thanks to our business coach, in 2023, we learned that there are so many opportunities for small businesses, women-owned businesses, and minority-owned businesses to apply for grants.

These programs provide resources that help you:

  • Grow your business 🚀
  • Hire talented people 👷‍♀️
  • Purchase equipment đź’»

All while connecting you with other businesses that align with your core values.

As our coach showed us, you can also look for businesses that have received grants to put towards hiring contractors and other professionals. If you can demonstrate your business fits the hiring criteria (e.g. because you’re a small or minority-owned business), that incentivizes them to hire you.

Win-win. 🙌

The more ways you can connect with fellow brands who share your values, the greater your impact—whether it’s demonstrating environmental leadership, uplifting women, or propelling small and minority-owned businesses.

By teaming up, we become unstoppable.

Hi Reader, Have you ever tried stuffing a pillow into a box? It will fit and it’s still technically a pillow. But there’s no room for air. That’s how I was feeling just before Rachel and I left for WordCamp in Italy last month. The lead-up to the trip was particularly busy as we prepared to be out of the office for two weeks, closed out tasks, and made sure the team was set. When we landed in Italy, I felt a rush of air. It was like taking the pillow out of a box—I unraveled and resettled...
